LOCAL CACHE
Warrecords Sticker Hunt is a geolocation art scavenger game in Antwerp. Spot physical stickers,
capture them, and log coordinates to rule the city grid.
Every scan starts at 100 points, then four things scale it up
or down:
› BE FIRST. The first finder keeps the full 100. Each
later finder gets 10% less than the one before — 2nd ≈ 90, 3rd ≈ 81 — but it never falls
below 25%, so late finds always pay something.
› RARE DESIGNS. Older designs are worth more — up to
1.7× for PONYPACK, down to 1.0× for the common ones.
› TRAVEL FAR. Measured from your last scan (or the HQ
record store on your first). Roughly +1× per 16 km — so 16 km ≈ 2×, 32 km ≈ 3×.
› EMPTY DISTRICTS. Up to 5× in a district with no stickers yet; it shrinks as the
district fills up.
› NEW NODES. For a sticker's first 24 hours the
founder and next 2 finders each get a flat +100
activation bonus on top.
The first four multiply together and round down; the
activation bonus is added on top. A first find on a rare design in an empty district across
town is worth many times a repeat scan next door.
Get close — about an arm's length — and hold steady until the green box frames the sticker. No
capture button needed. In poor light tap ⚡ FLASH. If it still
won't lock, the design may not be trained yet: submit it manually and a moderator will verify.
Each sticker has a 7-day cooldown per operator. Scan it again
inside that window and you'll see COOLDOWN ACTIVE with the hours remaining — no points. After 7
days it's a recharge: worth more the longer it sat untouched
by anyone, so neglected stickers pay better than busy ones.
When your GPS is weak and two stickers of the same design sit close together, the app can't tell
which one you're at — so it asks instead of guessing. Pick the right one to keep the map
accurate. Better GPS means fewer prompts: step into the open and wait for the accuracy reading
to settle before scanning.
